Important: Club Savings helps organize receipt information and identify possible savings. It does not guarantee a refund, price adjustment, deal availability, or eligibility under any retailer policy.
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Oktopas LLC (“Oktopas,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing the Club Savings mobile application, related services, and support pages (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use. Do not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.
2. What Club Savings does
The Service lets you upload receipt images or documents, extract and organize purchase details, compare purchases with available savings information, maintain a return list, and receive possible price-match notifications.
Results may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate because receipts, OCR and machine-learning output, retailer content, dates, prices, item identifiers, and policies can change or be interpreted incorrectly. You are responsible for reviewing original receipts and confirming all information directly with the retailer before making a purchase, return, or price-adjustment request.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim to keep the Service available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
3. Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You agree not to:
- upload receipts, documents, or information you do not have the right to use;
- misrepresent ownership of a membership, receipt, purchase, or refund claim;
- use the Service for fraud, unlawful activity, harassment, or infringement;
- probe, disrupt, overload, bypass security, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service, except where applicable law expressly permits;
- introduce malware or interfere with other users; or
- use automated means to access the Service without our written permission.
4. Your content and permission to process it
You retain ownership of receipt images, documents, and other content you upload (“User Content”). You grant Oktopas a limited, nonexclusive license to host, copy, process, extract, transform, and display User Content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service and to comply with law. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to temporary backups and legal retention described in the Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit User Content and that doing so does not violate law or another person’s rights. Avoid uploading unrelated sensitive information.
5. Independent service, advertising, and third-party content
Club Savings is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, authorized by, or endorsed by Costco Wholesale Corporation. Costco, Costco Wholesale, and related names and marks are trademarks of their respective owners.
Retailer websites, savings materials, policies, product information, and other third-party services are controlled by their owners. We are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, rules, or decisions. Retailer price-adjustment, return, membership, regional, inventory, and timing rules apply independently of the Service.
Advertising
The Service may display advertising supplied by third-party advertising providers. Ads do not constitute an endorsement by Oktopas. Advertising may link to third-party products or services that Oktopas does not control, and you should review the advertiser’s terms and privacy practices before interacting with them. Please report an inappropriate or misleading ad to support.
Advertising personalization and measurement are subject to your device permissions and our Privacy Policy. You are not required to allow cross-app tracking to use the core Service.
6. Intellectual property
Except for User Content and third-party material, the Service, software, design, text, and technology are owned by Oktopas or its licensors and protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the Service for its intended personal use. No other rights are granted.
7. Account deletion and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account through Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service or others, comply with law, address security or fraud, or respond to a material violation of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations—will survive.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, or availability. We do not warrant that the Service will identify every savings opportunity or that any retailer will honor a price, return, coupon, or adjustment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oktopas and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, savings, profits, goodwill, or opportunity arising from the Service. Oktopas’s aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Oktopas for the Service during the 12 months before the claim or US $50.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. In those places, these provisions apply only to the extent permitted, and they do not limit non-waivable consumer rights.
9. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, or security. We will post revised Terms and update the date above, with additional notice when required. Continued use after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised Terms.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a reorganization or business transfer. Mandatory consumer protections and the laws of your place of residence remain applicable where required.
10. Apple App Store terms
If you downloaded the app from Apple’s App Store, the app license is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms are between you and Oktopas LLC, not Apple. Oktopas LLC—not Apple—is responsible for the Service, maintenance and support, and addressing claims relating to the app, subject to applicable law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the App Store-related provisions against you.
